Agenda
Blog/Corrections
Bonus:Q,Q,song
Letters!

HW: Work toward 100% of AR goal.
1,000,000 words!

Wowzers the last and final blog of our 2019 class. That's crazy. We started the day by Aadhik reading his blog. He then picked Devan. Deven said she didn't want to do it because she has anxiety so Ms. Nakada asked who wanted to do the blog. Long story short I got picked of course because I'm doing the blog. As I walk up everyone tells me to make the last and final blog the best, which is a lot of pressure on me but that's okay I'll do my best. Also, fun fact, I've been up since two o'clock in the morning so don't come after me if there's a lot of corrections. Ms. Nakada starts to discuss the Q.Q and song. The quote is, "Be the change you wish to see in the world."-Muhatma Gandi. The song is, "Bookends" by Simon & Garfunkle. And lastly the question is Where will you be in ten years. I don't really know the meaning of the song but it sounds kind of sad. Anyways, It's be a decent school year overall, it was definitely difficult at times but I'm glad I didn't go through it alone. I am a little sad about leaving Emerson, that just hit me. I'm so thankful for all the new people I met, all the opportunities I had, and all the memories I have. I think everyone expects me to make this sad but I don't want it to be sad, I want to see it as moving on to better thing and moving forward in life. Just be happy about it, you know. Mathan is standing right behind me making me nervous telling me what to do with the blog just like a back-seat driver. But it's okay because I'm going to enjoy the small moments I have with him because he's going to Hami and I'm going to Uni. Aw, I'm going to miss all of you even though I'm not that close with a few of you I'll still miss you all. I don't really know what to write. I hope I stay in touch with most of you too. Mathan is staring at me while I write I'm not gonna lie it's a little scary. I also hope you all enjoy high school and do your best. Also thank you so much Ms. Nakada for teaching me so many things. By far my favorite english teacher. Okay, I think I'm done now I'm sorry this isn't as sad as you all thought it would be. Bye, I'll miss you all, much love -Kiwi<3 And of course the bell rang, and we went to lunch.

Aadhik 4th blog

We started off the day correcting my blog. I chose myself to do the blog. I forgot to do the Agenda.
Agenda
Blog and corrections
Letters to: self Ms. N., 7 Graders, 10 things
HW: Work toward 100% of AR Goal. 1,000,000 words!

We take out our English Journals for Quote, Questions, and Song. The quote is: "It takes courage to grow up and become who you are." It means stop living for everybody else. No one really cares. The question is "How have you changed/grown in the past year/3 years?" I got taller and matured. I see Tyler and Charlie write something in my Agenda. I might pick you guys! We talk about how we have changed. Ou song is "High Hopes" Panic! at the Disco. It is catchy and good. The song is about standing out, believing, and it says it in the name, Having High Hopes! Ms. Nakada passes us a paper it says Class of 2019. This is the last paper we are getting. It says Ms. Nakada will miss us and the ten things she wants us to do. 1 Keep writing. 2 Keep reading. 3 Keep Questioning. 4. Stay Organized. 5 Believe in yourself. 6 Follow your dreams. 7 Be resilient. 8 Work Hard. 9 Find what you love to do and do it. 10 Be kind to yourself. We continue to finish our letters. The bell rings, and we are off to lunch.

Aadhik's 3rd blog

AGENDA
Blog/Corrections
Letter to yourself, Ms. Nakada, future eighth graders

HW: Work toward 100% of your goal. 1,000,000 words!

We started off the day correcting Diana's blog. They then take out notes that I don't know of. It's the 10 year plan which I wasn't here for. We take notes on it. Then, Ms. Nakada says what her dream college is. It was Fordham. Her saftey school was Oregon. We look at UCLA. You need a 4.31 GPA. And the out of state cost is much higher than in-state cost. Then, we look at the percantage of people who go there. USC is a private school and is expensive! Your GPA needs to be 3.73. We look at Harvard. You need a 4.1 GPA. You need to have good test scores. We looked at a HBC school Howard. You need a 3.95 for Stanford and it's $50,000 a year. Stanford is mostly white and Asian. Florida is cheap in state but is a little more expensive for out of state.  We look at BYU, you need a 3.83. We look at Yale. We need to think about 3 colleges. We are going to make a letter. We are writing a letter to ourself and Ms. Nakada will give it to us in 4 years. Then, they joke about "what if we die" Ms. Nakada gets mad.  It gets quiet. Anyways, I cut my kneecap and it sucked. I was in the main office for a week. I was at Laguna Beach and I was climbing from the small beach to the big beach. There was this really slippery rock which I fell on and cut my Kneecap. I was in the ER for 5 hours. And they didn't get the sand out the first time so I waited for 2 hr and then they did it again. I got 6 stitches it sucked. I got my stitches out yesterday. Ms. Nakada wrote a letter to herself a couple years back. Jalen says you got to send a bird if the person lives in the middle of nowhere. The bell is going to ring. The kids don't want to do the poetry slam. The bell rings and we go of to lunch.
I am going to be the first person in Ms. Nakada's class to choose myself.

I'm not a big fan of speaking, but here we go. We started off the day with correcting Tyler's blog, we started our 10- year budget/plan. Where do we see ourselves in 10 years? I'm not completely sure whether I should just start working right off the bat or just continue studying. Victoria was being her usual talkative self, though I wasn't too sure whether she was talking to herself or not. We talked about the monthly budget and costs needed for living expenses such as rent, utilities, food, clothes, internet, phone, health insurance, car, insurance, gas, entertainment, college loans, savings, and possibly travel. The bell rang, and we went to lunch.

We started off the day with correcting Shanylah's good bye blog :(. Then, we did our Q.Q. song. The quote is: "Awards become corroded, friends gather no dust" by Jesse Owens. The question is: What awards/accomplishments should you list on college applications? The song is: "I'm Too Sexy" by Right Said Fred. While Ms. Nakada was explaining the question of the week, Charles started to complain that she was wasting class time, and how we should move onto the song, "I'm Too Sexy." Once the Q.Q. song was over, we passed back all work left, and kept our folders to take home. Anyway, the bell rang, and we went to lunch. Goodbyeeeeeeeee.

HW: Work toward 100% of your AR goal, 1,000,000 words

So, we started the day by correcting Vanessa's blog. Then, I wanted to do a last blog, because of course, it's my last day. Well, when you guys read this I'll be long gone. Well, after that, we checked agendas. I didn't even have mine. SSHHHHH. Since this is a good bye blog, I will take the time to do this: My first day at Emerson Community Charter Middle School, I met Kuper Faith Walker (Bessfran), while everyone else stared and whispered, she said hi. After that was James; he kept "bitting" into an imaginary  peach. Then, with James came Leila, and Nathaniel. Well, fast forward I basically became POPPIN. Now Ms. Nakada is taking scores for Binder Reminders. I told her I forgot. SSHHHH. Then, she told us there will be a sub... I won't even be here. Now, we're in our reading groups. Back to the the story: My first two days I found out about the "Teacher Strike," the worst. When I came to school and saw the teachers outside sitting I started balling my eyes out. I was so sad. But Leila, James, Jailynn and Nathaniel kept me laughing minus all the PDA. Man, I'm going to miss them. After the strike, Kuper and I became BEST friends, Danni became Shishter, I ended up dating Leron, fighting Kane almost every day, Tariq became my fake husban, Kiwi hates when I call her Kaylee (Catches Breath) Yonina, Sholval, and Rozhan are just... them. Victoria is my TT, Yabb, Devin, Christan, Arzou, Jose, Nancy, Charlie, Charles, Tyler, and Ensalminilla are my Vine/Meme/Whatevah, group. Everyone else, sorry I don't really know y'all folks. (SHADE) Just kidding Maria, Anthony, Abtin, Katie, David, and Mathan are my top wierdos... in the best way. :) Leo, Ferenc, and Jake, I don't really know.(everyone is still reading)You people are so fun, and I miss you soooo much. Congrats to whoever wins the Slam. Ms. Nakada, you are truly amazing, like seriously. You've all taught me a lot, whether you realize it or not. And for Zamari, sorry about P.E. I was wrong. Man you guys are blessed. Well, Good Bye guys, and I feel like no one is crying, that's good. I know you all are going to miss me, and I promise I'll come back sooner or later.Bye SHISHTERS.(Watch you back at night, I'm always watching)

Even though I know I have A LOT of corrections WE STILL GET A POINT.

Vanessa's third blog

Agenda
Blog- corrections
18 week grades
war literature unit
Date, period, and summary
Hw: read toward 100% of AR goal/1,000,000 words

So, the class was really empty and really quiet today, which is rather unusual. Ms. Nakada, started to read Katie's blog since she wasn't here. As Ms. Nakada finished reading her blog, Katie came in. Ms. Nakada then asked who had not done their third blog. Since no one said anything, she called out the names of people who had, and as she read the names, I knew mine wasn't gonna be called. As she came to the end of reading the names, the last two standing were Tyler and me; Katie choose me. As I got to my new seat, Shanylah asked Ms. Nakada why people said she was a good teacher, but not a good ESA coach. Ms. Nakada clearly responded with, "I don't know," but in my opinion I think she is good at both. She's an awesome teacher and coach. Right after this, we took out our  English Notebooks, and wrote down the new papers we got, and our grades for them. After that, people started passing our folders and the rest of the graded papers for us to put inside. As people got their slam poem sheet back, some started asking each other what they got. As that happened, Ms. Nakada told us who the winners of the poem slam were in our class. The winners were the following. 1st place, Shanlyah and Kuper with a perfect score of 20/20. Then, second place Tyler, Nancy, Charlie, and Arezou, and Devan, Danni, and Yeab with a score of 19/20. Then, Shoval, Yonina, and Rozhan, and Lupe and Zamari with a score of 18/20. Congratulations, hope you all participate on the slam and win for our class. Furthermore, Ms. Nakada said that our last unit was based on war. She gave us an introduction of it. She introduced to us the Holocaust, which was a devastating historical time for the jewish people. Jewish people suffered very much during that time, as they had to run for their life because the Nazis would kill them. That very sad, being killed for what  you believe in.   But even after their people faced that hardship and many died, they still thrive and always keep it in mind as something their people endured. So, she told us to find a group and choose a book to read about it. Then people chose their groups and read them. Then, the  bell rings and everyones leaves. Thanks, David for helping me, and Katie was here!!!!!
