It's week 5, and we started off the day with the quote of the week: "You get tough like me and you don't get hurt. You look out for yourself and nothin' can touch you." Dallas Winston (The Outsiders). We talk about this quote and what it means to a teacher and to students. I think that this quote means that friends, companions help each other grow, and succeed together and help each other achieve their goals. Then, we continue with a very sad, heart-breaking song, "Nothing Compares 2 U," performed by Sinead O'Connor. The song was written by Prince but was made famous by Sinead O'Connor. This song is about how probably she was dumped by her boyfriend, and she was very heart broken, but she compares how great he was and that nothing great would ever compare to him. My favorite line from this song was, "I could put my arms around every boy I see, but they'd only remind me of you." Later, we go into our English journals, and we make a Fall Reading Plan. We pick our top three books, or series and list them on page six. It's Tuesday, and I totally forgot, so let me speed things up, the bell rang and I was left behind to finish this blog. Then, I went to lunch with Yeab and David.
P.S. I'm coming for you Yonina.
